BACKSTORY!!
I DEMAND META!
um so far all i got is like
the 5 of them all go to college together and play a really popular mmo together too. the game is like set in a world where magic and advanced technology co-exist but occasionally clash with each other.
but the thing is, the monsters, the heroes, and villains from the game are all real. and a corrupt dev ends up actually summoning the main villainess to earth and she begins to use the game to turn players into monsters.
a friend of the 5 who works at the game company and discovers what’s going on. and uses her tech knowledge combined with the spellbook the evil!dev used to summon the villain to make a set of morphers, but is caught and corrupted before she can actually use them. the morphers get discovered by her friends while they’re going through her things trying to figure out what happened to her. there are 7 in total and each one corresponds to a different class in the game.
the blue ranger is basically a fighter/tank. she’s basically the de facto leader in game (because their actual guild leader is useless) and out (because if she wasn’t red would’ve started fighting yellow, green would be trying to pull the two of them apart, and pink would be kicked back eating popcorn). she’s very collected but isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty if it means protecting her friends, and would very much like to down the villain, get her other friend back, and go back to studying for her physics final. she’s also the second of 4 siblings, 2 of whom play the MMO as well.
the pink ranger is like a rogue/stealth class, she weaves through fights and stabs at everything that isn’t paying attention to her. she’s annoyingly good at PVP in game, and the femmiest femme that ever femmed in the history of femmes in game and out (she caught shit for dyeing the last raiding tier’s armor hot pink and white, until she topped the raid DPS charts by a landslide)
the red ranger is a fighter class like blue, but she plays it in a DPS role. she’s honestly that guildmate that everybody has and most people hate because she constantly does shit like steal aggro and rages when she loses a roll on an item, but being friends with blue, yellow, and green has calmed her down a little bit (pink encourages her because she thinks she’s hilarious). outside of the game she can be abrasive, and headstrong. and when the fighting starts she often rushes in without listening to blue. it’s not that she doesn’t care, she’s just really hardheaded.
the yellow ranger is a hybrid brawler, like an odd combination of Engineer and Vanguard from ME in that she can hack and charm enemies and also do an electrical rush towards them. she’s a lot more level headed than red, he doesn’t rush into the middle of things too, but she actually picks out her targets instead of hitting everything in sight. she’s known pink since high school, and is currently dating blue’s older brother.
the green ranger is also a hybrid, but plays in a support/mage role. her class has been called the most underpowered class in game thanks to heavy nerfs during the last expansion. but somehow she still manages to top the healing charts and do decent magic damage. outside of the game, she has no developer meddling to dampen her abilities and has no problem using them. the friend that went missing is actually her ex-girlfriend who got her into the MMO in the first place, so she has a very vested interest in getting her back.
the other two mophers would go to the missing friend (white), and blue’s sister who doesn’t play the MMO at all (purple).
yeah that’s what i got so far.
This needs to be a thing.
Like now.
OMG
I need it in my life.
Write this. You need to.
There is so much creativity here I can’t even stand it
That’s really sweet of you, but I feel really self conscious about my writing.
Plus the last time I really wrote anything was during my RP days and two of my RP partners basically tried to steal my shit and make a profit off it so that kind of killed my enthusiasm for it.
and folks feel the need to jump on and add “black person” or tell me that “women in general” face shit.
NO. I meant BLACK women, specifically. Because I live in a world where
Psychology Today, a fairly well respected mental health publication, publishes a study finding Black women to be the most unattractive women on earth, and not until they received backlash from Black women, did they think the science was faulty
I live in a world where the Black First Lady of this country is constantly having her body and shape mocked, or being framed as a slave.
I live in a world, in which the best female tennis player’s body is mocked by a white woman on the tennis court and the entire audience just laughs.
I live in a world where Gabby Douglas is the first Black girl to win gold in the all-around and the media story makes it about her hair, and then turns around and blames Black women for it.
I live in a world where a white dude on tumblr feels the need to justify finding a Black woman attractive by stating he’s “not into Black girls, but she’s attractive” B/c you know, she was light skinned and curly haired enough to fit his standard of beauty.
I live in a country where Black women make up, at most like 10% of the US population, but we are constantly having articles written about us and why we are so fat. B/c it’s our fat asses that is bringing down the national economy or some shit.
I live in a world where Black men tell me the hair that grows out of my head naturally, ain’t for me.
I live in a world where a Black man can write about hating Black women, and then when Black women respond negatively, we are called angry, bitter, bitches/hoes, etc.
I live in a world where just last week a Black women wrote a post on the shit we as Black women face in relationships, and a white girl comes along an crosses out the word black, talkin’ about she “fixed” it. Erasing our unique experiences.
I live in a world where Black men will throw interracial dating, and marriage statistics in Black women’s faces in order to get us to shut up, and in the same breath claim to “love” Black women.
I live in a world, where a Black woman writes a post on mental health and a bunch of white women saviors feel the need to jump on and tell us exactly what our problem is.
I live in a world where Black daughters are left taking care of their elderly parents, financially, physically, and emotionally, but it’s the Black sons who get praised for making a god damn sandwich.
I live in a world where a Black woman makes a post about a horrific birthing experience of another Black woman, and how she would prefer a home birth, only to be called stupid and ignorant by white people, b/c we are endangering our children.
I live in a world where the face of the “welfare queen” is Black motherhood.
I live in a world where 90% of the people who will defend Black women against these constant attacks are other Black women, and we will get mansplained and whitesplained for our troubles.
So no, I absolutely did not mean “Black person” which usually translates to Black man or “women” which usually translates to “white women”
Don’t change my fucking words.

When Aisha Tyler was selected to be the presenter for the 2012 Ubisoft E3 press conference, she received an unprecedented flood of hate from trolls who complained about the fact that she knew nothing about gaming. Too bad haters didn’t do their homework first, because as it turns out Aisha Tyler knows more about gaming that all of us put together. Her Facebook response was awesome and predictably went viral. In case you missed it, here’s her masterpiece. Haters, take note.
Dear Gamers
I play.
I’ve played since I was a little kid.
Since I begged my dad to buy me a Nintendo LCD Donkey Kong, Jr.
Since I blew through three weeks’ allowance playing Defender at the laundromat.
Since you were a twinge in the left side of your daddy’s underoos.
I’ve been a gamer since I made friends with a girl in the 5th grade just to get at her Atari.
Since I missed the bus playing Galaga after school.
Since I missed the start of Return of the Jedi playing Tempest in the theater lobby.
You think you know. You don’t know.
I’ve been a gamer since before you could read.
Since I aced midterms after staying up all night playing Evil Tetris.
Since I became dorm champ at Leisure Suit Larry.
Since I double-wielded on Time Crisis 3 at Fuddrucker’s.
I was a voice in not one, but two major video game titles.
I hosted the Reach Beta tutorial.
I was a Gears of War superfan panelist at ComicCon.
I hosted the Ubisoft presser at E3 2012.
I didn’t do any of it for the money.
For most I got paid next to nothing, and for some, less than that.
I did it because I love video games.
Because I’ve dreamt since I was a kid of being in one of the games I love.
How many games have you done voices for?
How many cons have you repped at?
Your buddy’s Unreal Tournament garage deathmatch doesn’t count.
I go to E3 each year because I love video games.
Because new titles still get me high.
Because I still love getting swag.
Love wearing my gamer pride on my sleeve.
People ask me what console I play.
Motherfucker, ALL of them.
I get invited to E3 because real gamers know I’m a gamer.
I don’t do it for the money.
I have plenty of money.
I don’t do it for the fame.
Fuck fame.
I do it because I love video games.
I don’t give out my gamertag because I don’t want a mess of noob jackholes lining up
to assassinate me on XBL.
I don’t give a shit what you think about my gamerscore.
I don’t play to prove a point.
I don’t play to be the best.
I play because I love it.
I play.
I’ve been playing my whole life.
I’m not ashamed of it.
I don’t apologize for it.
It’s who I am.
To the core.
I’m a gamer.
So to all the haters out there who claim I don’t play;
To the GAF dicks,
Gamespot trolls,
To every illiterate racist douchebag on Youtube:
Flame away. Go nuts.
Post every jackass comment your heart desires.
I’ll still be playing when your mom’s kicked you out of her basement
and you have to sell your old-ass console
and get a real job.
For now, I say to you respectfully,
and I mean this from the bottom of my heart,
GFYS.
And not a single fucking game dev came to her aid when this happened
NOT A SINGLE FUCKING ONE
But when Felicia Day’s lily white ass got insulted, PEOPLE GOT FIRED. People lost their minds and bent over backwards to kiss her ass.
Aisha only had Black women to back her up.

“No one has ever… not been afraid of me before.”
“That’s a shame.”
